| Welcome to the EWC Inauguration Event in Oslo May 28th - 29th 2009. The European Wergeland Centre is a cooperation initiative between the Government of Norway and the Council of Europe, and it is a resource centre on education for intercultural understanding, human rights and democratic citizenship. The EWC Inauguration Event is hosted by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. The event begins with a reception at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel followed by an official dinner at Akershus Castle May 28th. The Inauguration Conference takes place at Gamle Logen on the 29th, and will have well-known national and international keynote speakers and panellists, as well as cultural events.
